Rebuilding the wall in Columbia City, Indiana
Updated: Apr 12, 2021
In the book of Nehemiah we find out that Nehemiah was on mission to rebuild the walls that were in the burying place of His father.

Nehemiah 2:5 "And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it."
This kingdom had been conquered by the babylonians many moons prior. The walls laid in ruins and the gates were burnt with fire.
Nehemiah 1:3 "And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire."
As Nehemiah was granted permission, and accquired the appropriate documents from the King he travelled into Jerusalem to begin the process.
Nehemiah 2:6 "And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time. 7 Moreover I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah; 8 And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me. 9 Then I came to the governors beyond the river, and gave them the king's letters. Now the king had sent captains of the army and horsemen with me. 10 When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that there was come a man to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.11 So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days.12 And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon.13 And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire."
As Nehemiah progressed with help from people in his command, as well as the local community the place became a place of uncertainty. People heard about what was going on, and were not happy with Nehemiah. Rumors of attack on Nehemiah and his people began to spread in chapter four.
Nehemiah 4:7 "But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth, 8 And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it."
In Chapter Five as Nehemiah and his team moved forward in the work of God, Nehemiah began to tune into the heartbeat of the communtiy of people and he began to hear their cries, & hear the issues that kept this place a place of ruin.
Corrupt leadership pursuing self-seeking gain caused the people of God to veer from the path of God's commandments.
Nehemiah 5: 1 "And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews. 2 For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.3 Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.4 There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, and that upon our lands and vineyards.5 Yet now our flesh is as the flesh of our brethren, our children as their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; for other men have our lands and vineyards.6 And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words.7 Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them."
As Nehemiah pursued the rebuilding process, they faced many things. But how beautiful the grace & mercy of God despite all of this.
Not only did God have purpose in those days for each and every trial they faced, but this is a scriptural testimony to the Apostolic Church of the 20th century. To us here in Columbia City, Indiana, and to you wherever you are located across this world.
As we go about rebuilding the church. We are here on divine mission, with divine provision, and divine authority.
During this time of rebuilding plans of attack and rumors may be developed. However, like the testimony and wisdom in the book of Nehemiah we are not ignorant to the devices of the enemy.
We are equipped with the armor of God as we rebuild.
We have our tools in one hand, and and weapon in the other!
Nehemiah 4:17 “They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon.”

We stand upon the solid rock of Jesus Christ, and we are here to RESTORE THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD!
The enemy has been exacting usury upon this land.
It has called the people of God to give of their time, talents, and treasures and has charged them an interest rate of unfruitfulness.
It has loaned them the letter of the law, and it's interest rates were lacking the letter of the Spirit.
AND TODAY I DECLARE NO MORE!
I shake my lap, or empty myself as Nehemiah did in Neh. 5:13 and I declare “SO God shake out every man from his house and from his labor, that perforemth not this promise, even thus be he shaken out, and emptied.”
This was a promise….
And it refers to the seven-year release in Deuteronomy 15: 1-6 of the borrowers from the creditor that lendeth.
It is called the LORD’S release
Deuteronomy 15: 1-6
"1 At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release. 2 And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord's release. 3 Of a foreigner thou mayest exact it again: but that which is thine with thy brother thine hand shall release; 4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it 5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all these commandments which I command thee this day 6 For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee."
IF you have been washed in the waters of baptism, IF you have been bought by the blood of Jesus, IF you have turned from the pleasures of your human nature, and IF you have tuned in to a life of sanctification then I say this promise is YOURS!
Then I declare that you are walking in the “LORD’S RELEASE”!
Nothing can separate you from the Love of Christ Jesus.
Nothing can separate you from accessing His mercies which are new everyday!
Lamentations 3:22-23 "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."
Let it be known today that The Sanctuary of Columbia City will not withhold an atmosphere of spiritual renewal.
It will not exact spiritual usury upon the saints and souls of Columbia City.
We release truth and righteousness in this place and upon this land!
AMEN & Praise the LORD.
